Jesse Etc. (2015 – current)

Jesse Etc. is my current solo project. I explore whatever genre I’m into at the time, ranging from sample-based music to lo-fi experimental to top-40 pop.

Highlights:
Created and sold some neat cassettes to fans
– Played an entire two-week tour to bars/venues full of literally nobody
– Learned that it is equally as important to celebrate your losses to grow your empathy

The A-B Theory (2008 – 2011)

The A-B Theory is my now-defunct post-college solo project. I really liked The Postal Service at the time, in case you couldn’t tell.

Highlights:
MTV featured my music on multiple TV shows
– Purevolume (remember that?) featured my debut EP on their homepage, where it was downloaded over 10k times
– Multiple people got tattoos of my lyrics

 

Sometimes it Rains (2005 – 2008)

sometimes it rains band dallas texas

Sometimes it Rains was my first ‘real’ band in college. We made elaborate indie-pop that made use of violins, cellos, flutes, bells and steel guitar.

– Learned how to self record/produce an album for the first time
– Won “Battle of the Bands’ at our college + received a giant (physical) check for $500
– Worked with Mark Pirro (bassist of Tripping Daisy & The Poloyphonic Spree) to mix/master our album
